Potato 3 pcs
Grated cheese 2 cups

Pepper To taste

Description

  1. In a large pot, boil the potatoes in salted water until they are tender but firm, approximately 15-20 minutes. Then, drain them and let them cool.
  2. While the potatoes are cooling, in a large bowl, mix the drained tuna with mayonnaise, chopped onion, and habanero pepper. Add salt and pepper to taste. Ensure the mixture is well combined and set aside.
  3. Once the potatoes are cool enough to handle, peel and slice them into approximately 1/4-inch thick rounds.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  5. In an oven-safe dish, place a layer of potato slices on the bottom.
  6. Add a layer of the tuna mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle a portion of the grated cheese.
  7. Repeat the process, alternating layers of potatoes, tuna mixture, and cheese until the dish is full, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the tuna and potato gratin is heated through in the center.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  10. Now you have an enhanced recipe for a deliciously gratinated tuna and potato dish with a spicy kick!
