Octopus and Shrimp Aguachile
Ingredients
Habanero pepper | 1 piece |
Cooked shrimp | 1 cup |
Octopus | 1 cup |
Lime | 20 pzas |
Red onion | 1/2 piece |
Serrano chili pepper | 2 pcs |
Cucumber | 1 piece |
Mango | 1 piece |
Olive Oil | 2 tbsp |
Salt | to taste |
Description
- Slice the red onions and the habanero pepper. In a bowl, marinate onions and the habanero with the juice of 20 limes. Let it sit for 20 minutes.
- Cut a cucumber (remove seeds) and mango; reserve
- In a blender, add the serrano chili peppers (remove seeds), olive oil, salt. Also add the lemon juice from the marinated onions and habanero peppers (set aside the onions and the habaneros).
- In a bowl add the marinated onions and habanero peppers, shrimp, octopus, cucumber and mango.
- Pour the sauce on top of the aguachile and mix thoroughly; condiment with salt and let it marinate for a couple of hours in the refrigerator
- Serve with tortilla chips and avocado. Enjoy!
